- Born in Izmir, raised on zeytinyağlılar and Saint Joseph school lunches, Murat caught the cooking bug at 17 years old during a trip to France — but his real training began in his grandma’s kitchen, mastering Aegean and Ottoman flavors from the source.
- Yes, he studied finance. Yes, he rocked the corporate and tourism world for 15+ years.
- Then came the real spark: opening Mezzaluna in Izmir & Çeşme, founding over 10 restaurants, co-founding Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Izmir, and working with world-class chefs — all fueled by one goal: to make people happy through food.
- In 2015, he moved to Denmark for love ❤️ and founded Chefoncall — a personal catering brand that’s been serving lunch and events for companies and individuals ever since.
